Do you have all the answers? It’s probably costing you money

As a business owner, do you often act as if you have all the answers, even when you don’t? It can be a tough question to answer honestly, but if you find yourself making excuses like:
  • Your poor sales are caused by your undesirable product or service, but others who are selling the same thing are doing fine (as far as you know),
  • Your sales staff doesn’t have what it takes to sell, but you haven’t really validated your marketing, trained your staff, or put the systems in place to effectively drive sales,
  • Your team’s lack of productivity comes from their poor work ethic, but your processes haven’t been reviewed, modified, or redesigned as your business has grown.
…there’s a good chance that what you believe is wrong, or at least not well developed. Making decisions based on that paradigm could be disastrous. Here’s a tip: if your business isn’t performing as well as it could, be careful with what you believe. Seek input from a business coach or consultant with successful operating experience.
